Red 40, yellow 5 and yellow 6: food dyes causing cancer

Walking down the aisles of your local grocery store, everything is stacked on the shelves, processed, pre-packaged and ready to go.  Labels such as "natural" "no sugar added" can be deceiving. If you take a minute and turn the package over and go through the list of ingredients you will find aspartame, sucrose, or other sugar additives which are dangerous to ones health. This can be misleading. A lot of foods and beverages have food dyes in them, and although they make the product look attractive, have you ever wondered what exactly is in the food dyes? Why do we need extra synthetic chemicals added to our foods, why cant they use plant based dyes?
The following article exposes red 40, yellow 6 and yellow 5 (which are found in most foods and beverages) and how they lead to cancer. We need to stop buying these products and say NO to synthetic chemicals!

No shampoo, thank you

A few months ago I stumbled across an article about washing ones hair with nothing but water, baking soda and vinegar. Intrigued and tired of all the shampoos loaded with chemicals and not wanting to pay $10 for a bottle of organic shampoo whose list of ingredients made me wonder how organic it really was, I decided to follow my philosophy that if you cant eat it, dont put it on your body. Like any detox, it takes about 4-6 weeks to see results. Once you give up shampoo you will wonder why you didnt do it sooner! Your hair will feel thick, clean and no longer be stripped of its natural oils. For those of you concerned about your hair smelling bad or becoming too oily, all you need to do is add a few drops of your favorite scents (jasmine, mint, etc) to the mixture and your hair will smell great. You will no longer need to wash your hair daily, and will find that going 2 or 3 days without washing your hair leaves no build up.

Here is what you will need to get started
1-2 tbsp of baking soda,1/2 cup water, mix and add to a cup or bottle. After your hair is wet, scrub and massage the baking soda into your scalp. Leave on for a minute or so and then rinse. The baking soda gets rid of any build up. Next, mix apple cider vinegar (few tablespoons) with 1/2 cup of water and rinse your hair with it. For extra shine you can even use a beaten egg to your hair, leave on for a minute or so and rinse out. Coffee also makes your hair shiny, just make sure to thoroughly rinse out. When you are finished and your hair has dried, apply coconut oil, olive oil or avocado to your hair for a conditioner. (you will only need to condition your hair 1 to 2 times a week.)

Ive been shampoo-free for a month now and love the results.
