Shocking Processed Food Ingredient Secrets: Eat The Box, NOT The Cereal

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So, we shop for the best breakfast cereal at the local health food store because we know that most top selling cereal brands on the supermarket shelves are loaded with sugar. We know how to eat healthier and live longer – we use only low fat milk in our breakfast cereal. Afterward, we feel nourished and ready for our challenging work day. What’s wrong with this picture?
  • We feel nourished only because the breakfast cereal industry told us so!
  • ALL packaged dry breakfast cereals are produced by a process called extrusion
  • The extrusion process destroys most nutrients in the grains, even the added vitamins!
  • The amino acid lysine, a crucial nutrient, is especially denatured by extrusion and rendered very toxic by this process!
  • We’d eaten a healthier breakfast by throwing out the cereal and consuming the box it came in!
Can you believe this? It blew me away when I read about the following lab rat tests…

One of the most notorious RTNCs is Monosodium Glutamate, or "MSG."  However, MSG is just one of many RTNCs.

So, while you may not see "monosodium glutamate" specifically listed on an ingredient label, these other

Is Bottled water better?

The realization that bottled water is seldom of higher quality than tap water has caused a major shift in public opinion. "It causes 60 million plastic bottles A DAY to be manufactured, transported and then disposed of in U.S. landfills. It's killing our planet, and for no good reason..."
-Eric Olsen, Natural Resources Defense Council

Consumers typically buy bottled water under the misconception that it is safer, purer or healthier than tap water. Bottled water companies have spent billions to manipulate consumers into believing that bottled water is safer or healthier than tap water. Now the public is talking back and asking some very tough questions:

All you have to do is use the shampoo they are advertising and you too will have beautiful hair like the models, right? What they don't tell you is that the models never use the shampoo they are advertising, why would they. Most if not all of the shampoos advertised have harsh chemicals that make your hair fall out and dry out your hair. Good Bye processed bread, Hello Sprouted bread!

As a bread lover I have had a hard time giving up bread so I sought an alternative. I had a hard time finding bread that didn't contain fructose corn syrup or wasn't processed. I was seeking a bread that not only is healthy and nutritious, but tasty. All bread should have less than 5 ingredients. Most bread sold today has a long list of ingredients that have been added, most chemical.

Last year I came across Ezekiel Bread at my local Whole Foods Market. It's an
organic-sprouted-whole-grain-bread that is not only a complete protein but also weighs in very low on the Glycemic Index. These are the kind of carbs we want to be eating, whole unprocessed whole grain products. All you have to do is take a close look at this bread to see all the whole grains that it consists of. Bread made without flour? Out of sprouted grains, legumes and seeds? This couldn’t possibly taste good, could it? Unlike many breads on the market today you will NOT see ingredients like enriched wheat flour, high fructose corn syrup, or preservatives listed in the ingredients.

Most stores do not advertise that they are selling genetically modified produce, therefore it is up to you to pay attention to the labels!

Raw Milk vs. Pasteruized Milk

Raw milk straight from the cow or goat is full of the benefits of wonderfully healthy bacteria, vitamins, and enzymes that you simply will not get from store-bought milk. Milk you find on your supermarket shelf is flawed for many reasons.

One reason is the big commercial dairies do not feed their cows grass and hay which is what they are supposed to eat, but rather their cows exist in small feedlots being fed large amounts of grain which is actually not something a cow was meant to eat.
As a result, these cows must be fed antibiotics which in turn are going into your milk. Bleach is also often added to make sure your carton of milk is as white as can be. Scary, isn’t it?

The condition is caused by micro-organisms called Dermatophytes. It lives on the nail bed and eats the keratin which is the protein in your nail. Normally it will start at the end of the nail and work its way down to the base if left untreated. Has The Cause of Crib Death (SIDS) Been Found?

Toxic Gases in Baby Crib Mattresses
By Jane Sheppard

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). These four words can incite a considerable amount of terror in a parent of an infant. Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), also known as crib death or cot death, is the number one cause of death for infants from one month to one year of age. 90% of all SIDS deaths are in babies under six months old. Ongoing SIDS research occasionally leads to discoveries of risk factors associated with these deaths, but after over 50 years, researchers say they still do not know how or why it happens. The prevailing official viewpoint on SIDS is that the cause is unknown (SIDS Alliance 2001).

Black Seed: A cure for Every Disease

In a hadith narrated by Abu Salamah on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (May Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:  Use this black seed regularly, because it has a 'shifaa' (cure) for every disease, except death.

Black seed provides a rich supply of polyunsaturated fatty acids. These ingredients play a key role in daily health and wellness.  They help to regulate the metabolism, carry toxins to the skin's surface for elimination, balance insulin levels, regulate cholesterol, improve body circulation, and promote healthy liver function.  A deficiency in polyunsaturated fatty acids can lead to a wide number of health problems including nervous system disorders, uninhibited growths, and skin diseases.

[I swear] by the fig and the olive. (Qur'an, 95:1)

The Benefits of the Fig for Human Beings
Figs have a higher fibre level than any other fruit or vegetable. One single dried fig provides two grams of fibre: 20% of the daily recommended intake. Research over the last fifteen years or so has revealed that the fibre in plant foods is very important for the regular functioning of the digestive system. It is known that fibre in foods assists the digestive system and also helps reduce the risk of some forms of cancer. Nutritionists describe eating figs, which are rich in fibre, as an ideal way of increasing one's fibre intake.
